I have the week of Jan 31-Feb 6, 2010 at a small hut in British Columbia. It is accessed via snowmobiles. The week price is $USD 850 (plus, you have to get yourself up there). You must reach Revelstoke, BC by Saturday night, Jan 30th. You must be a strong backcountry skier (Tele or AT). The week includes one guide/cook. You might be asked to drive a snowmobile occasionally. It is a very different and unique Canadian hut experience, and in my mind, the best powder to cash hut value in the Canadian Selkirks.
January 9th update: Rod reports 18″ this week. Two blue-bird powder days. High avalanche danger on the north sides, so they skied mostly south faces. No rain problems like Montana.
Pics from first week of January 2010. More snow coming next week.
Update January 29th: Two slots open as of today. Lisa broke her leg two days ago. She is really hoping you will take her slot, so her hut deposit can go towards her hospital bills.

I’m interested in knowing more about this trip. Looks wonderful! I am a strong tele skier with hut trip experience (Fairy Meadows). Curious about the group you’ve got pulled together.
I understand the hut is accessed via snowmobile, how about the skiing? I have no experience driving one but am happy to learn (one more adventure). Also, any chance there’s a sauna in the bargain
Thanks for the sending the invite into the web-world. My girlfriend sent it to me.
Jen most of the skiing is around treeline and hut is located 300 feet below treeline. The hut has skiing directly below it and directly above it. If the avalanche danger is high, there is plenty of ski able terrain in protected trees. The longest shots are 3000 vert. Having snowmobiles, allows for towing to more distant drainages beyond the hut’s own drainage. You couldn’t ski all the terrain there in a week, even if your group is strong. The goal is 50/50 male/female. The guides will fire-up the sauna any night you want. The food is a home-cooked multi-course affair. I have been to Fairy Meadows, and I prefer this hut because it is smaller, no heli issues, and has a real Canadian locals flair. Call me if you have further questions.
